The New Classics - Vogue Paris Part 1

The August 09 issue of Vogue Paris highlighted top looks and trends from over 60 designers for the upcoming fall season.  Over the next few weeks, I am going to break down these trends and show you the staples that are must acquisitions for building a solid fall wardrobe.  Instalment #1?  The classics of course!  Staples that will stand the test of time, because they have been, and will always be in style.  Up first...statement "fur", lady-like separates, and the most basic of them all - denim!  Stay tuned for basic black, classic yet versatile statement coats, and the quintessential white shirt.

#1. STATEMENT "FUR"
Fendi and Michael Kors among several designers showed us for fall that the glamour of fur is still very much an alluring statement...however, I provided you with some options for fur that wont put you at the mercy of an enraged PETA member...

#2. LADY-LIKE SEPARATES
When is being ultra feminine ever unbecoming?  Lanvin, the patron for the feminine silhouette blesses followers again this season with soft yet architectural blouse silhouettes, and the must have pencil skirt to show off that hour glass figure.  Dolce and Gabbana, who have been injecting sexy into their brand since its inception inspire us with the Spanish flared lacy silhouette below.  Additionally, I have included jewelry and separates following this trend below.

#3. DENIM
Ah, the American classic.  We all feel at our upmost level of comfort when we are sporting jeans.  I wonder if Calvin saw what a legend in the making he had before him when he booked Kate Moss in the 90's for those unforgettable ad campaigns.  Diesel has also brought fashion denim to new heights with innovations in acid treatment and washes.  Pair denim back to 80's inspired accessories or tee shirts and vests with interesting details and hardware.
