ink blot

One of my favorite vintage stores is in San Francisco. I always find great pieces there that I keep in my wardrobe season after season - this mini dress is one of those pieces. Tie dye seems to be a reoccurring trend for spring, so I always find myself wearing this tunic especially when the temperature rises. I love the richness of the green, here and paired with tribal accessories it makes for a modern take on the ethnic trend as well.

Tribal Techno

I like to call this my technicolor coat, for all of its bright colors and patches. It was thrifted, and to me the look is part tribal, part hippie, and part kindergarten teacher? Paired back to a scarf custom made by me and a denim jumper the jacket takes on a more modern feel. No matter how hard I try, I just can seem to stay away from color, so I concede okay? Whatever the trend, I will always and forever be in a love affair with color!

Color Splash

This Thakoon top is by far my most favorite purchase of the summer. I loved this silhouette so much that I also bought it in solid black. Both tops have been my go to's for their airy cut outs, and intriguing construction. I am also pretty obsessed with the print and color palette and it jives nicely with the youthful suffer trend that was predominant this season. Stay tuned for shots of the black, I'm sure you'll see both tops more than once!

I have loved wearing braids this summer, this hairstyle is the ideal way to keep long hair out of your face while looking effortless at the same time. My lipstick is Pink Nouveau by MAC.

The American Woman - Flapper

And last but not least the Flapper. The end all be all in ground breaking fashion. Women rebelled against the bonds of tradition shedding their restricting corsets and long locks for short edgy hair cuts and boyish silhouettes. The freedom of body and soul paved the way for women to actually feel great in their own skin and breathe again....literally!
